annoying session

Just got done with a 1600 hand session in which I lost 2k. I was bouncing up and down every couple of hands and it felt like one of those sessions where I was just destined to end down and lose money. Every time I managed to claw my way back into the green, I would instantly run into a cooler or setup to take it all back and then some. I should still be over the +10k mark for the month (depending on if full tilt wants to continue to doom switch me on the 30th) which isn't all that bad considering the little amount of hands I've put in this month.

The following are some of my bigger losers and winners of the day...

Vegas Trip Report

Just got back from Vegas yesterday after a solid week of Vegasing. Ate at a bunch of good restaurants, went to the "beach" a ton, saw a few great shows, and more importantly played drunken slots/blackjack as most of my gambling. I don't have any actual pics yet since my gf hasn't put them online but I will get some of those up when she does.

Right when we got there to check in at ~1:30am, we were trying to get a combo of a good view + a king sized bed instead of 2 queens and ended up getting upgraded to a suite in THEhotel, the newer building addition to Mandalay Bay. I can't say I don't run good.

Even though we still had 2 queens, it was an awesome room and had a seperate living area as well as 2 bathrooms.

Nobu (Hard Rock):

One of the first (and best by far) restaurants I we ate at (my gf and I) was Nobu. This place was just awesome and we ran up a pretty huge bill drinking some pretty decent saki and ordering the following: Yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno

Tuna salad

Squid pasta (squid are shaped like noodles)

Rock shrimp tempura

All in all we ordered the saki and 7 dishes which came out to be ~$300 bill between the 2 of us. I recommend anyone going out to Vegas this summer to definitely check this place out at the Hard Rock.

Aureole (Mandalay Bay):

We went to Aureole Friday night right before our KA show. It was pretty sick and had a 3 story wine rack with harnessed "wine angels" that would fetch a bottle for you if you were baller enough to spend the massive amount of cash to get one.

I ended up getting the filet mignon with tiger prawns as did my gf. We grabbed a few glasses of wine and also a dessert each, but the waiter brought us out a free third dessert that we were contemplating over before ordering. I run good.

B&B Restaurant (Venetian):

This place served up some pretty good Italian dishes. I was pretty boring and went with the Spaghetti with 1lb. lobster and a few glasses of some pretty decent Pino Noir red wine. It was Chef Mario Batali's restaurant so it had to be good right?

Cirque de Soleil KA:

This show was absolutely awesome. I wish I caught a few more cirque shows but I guess I'll just save it for next time I'm in Vegas.

Monty Python SPAMALOT:

On our last full day, we ended up going over to the Wynn and I convinced my gf to go and get a players card with my since we might get some free shit with it. It turned out that we got to swipe our new cards once at the sign up booth to spin an electronic wheel where you could win $10 free slot play, buffets, even $10,000 slot play. I ended up winning "2 show tickets" that were for the SPAMALOT 8pm show.

I figured the tickets would be nosebleeds but they actually turned out to be front row dead center. I wasn't a big Monty Python fan but the show was actually really great and pretty hilarious. The main actor was the guy that used to be on Seinfeld (John O'Hurley).
We also ate at the Bellagio buffet and the Wynn buffet which were both pretty close in quality and both very good. I wish I was obese and could have eaten more but I had to tap out pretty early at both.

Other than that, we mainly drank all day and layed out by the pool/lazy river.
